Dongfeng Aeolus L8+ Official Images Released: Upgraded Smart Hardware and Advanced Driver-Assistance Focus

On August 3, official images of the Dongfeng Aeolus L8+ were released. The new vehicle is expected to be positioned as a compact SUV equipped with a plug-in hybrid system. Dongfeng Aeolus had previously stated that the L8Y model would focus on offering the "most comfortable cabin in its class," featuring comprehensive upgrades to interior quality and the overall ride experience. The L8+ will highlight advanced intelligent driving capabilities and enhanced driver-assistance hardware, while the Aeolus L9 is positioned as a mid-to-large 7-seat family SUV.

In terms of appearance, the new vehicle largely retains the styling of the current Fengshen L8. The front fascia features a full-width light bar and an illuminated brand logo, while the headlights and grille combine to create a "wide-mouth" look. Additionally, the vehicle is equipped with LiDAR. Perception cameras are located on the front fenders, and the vehicle features traditional mechanical door handles. Regarding dimensions, the Fengshen L8+ measures 4,762 mm in length, 1,910 mm in width, and 1,686 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,825 mm.

In terms of powertrain, the Fengshen L8+ is equipped with a plug-in hybrid system combining a 1.5T engine and an electric motor, with a projected pure-electric range of up to 220 km. Further powertrain specifications will be subject to official announcements.
