The Skoda Octavia is scheduled for a generational overhaul in 2028, following the 2025 unveiling of the Vision O concept car; however, in the interim, the lineup has been expanded to include a hybrid model. The new vehicle is set to officially launch in the European market in October, with deliveries commencing in December.

This hybrid system consists of a 1.5T engine, two electric motors, and a single-speed automatic transmission. Of the two motors, one acts as a generator while the other drives the front wheels. The engine comes in two tuning configurations, delivering a combined maximum output of 136 hp and 170 hp, respectively. Both versions feature a 1.6 kWh battery and an all-electric range of 2 km; official fuel consumption figures have not been disclosed.

To recap, the Škoda Vision O concept adopts the brand's latest "Modern Solid" design language and features an interior equipped with a large central touchscreen. Reports indicate that the all-new Octavia will be built on Volkswagen's SSP platform, utilize an 800V architecture, and offer both pure electric and extended-range powertrain options. We will continue to monitor and report on further details regarding the new model.
