Welcome to Hebei Opportunity Co., Ltd
We have recently obtained a set of spy shots of the all-new BMW X5 M. The vehicle is scheduled to enter production in 2028 and will be available in both internal combustion engine (ICE) and fully electric versions. The ICE variant will feature a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine paired with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system, while the fully electric version will utilize a quad-motor powertrain.

Looking at the spy shots and comparing this new vehicle to the previously spotted X5 M60, it is clear that the model will feature a more aggressive aerodynamic package. The front grille is expected to be larger, the lower bumper has been optimized, and the hood will likely incorporate air vents. Furthermore, the vehicle is currently fitted with temporary headlight units, which may suggest that the production version will feature a distinct headlight design compared to the standard X5.

It can be seen from the side of the vehicle that the new car will be equipped with large-size wheels, perforated brake discs and six-piston brake calipers. The door handles are still integrated into the window frame. However, due to its tight camouflage, it is not yet certain whether it will be equipped with a luminous M logo on the D-pillar. The rear of the vehicle will have a new style spoiler, and the lower body is expected to receive aerodynamic upgrades.

In terms of powertrain, the new model will be offered in both internal combustion engine (ICE) and fully electric versions. The ICE variant will continue to feature a 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine, supplemented by a 48V mild-hybrid system, delivering a maximum output of 460 kW (compared to 448 kW for the X5 M60). The fully electric version will be equipped with a quad-motor setup, producing a combined maximum output of 671 kW (compared to 425 kW for the X5 i60). We will continue to monitor and report on further details regarding the new model.
